Set in the 50's Summer City is the story of four close friend's who are on the brink of manhood. Sharing a love of surfing they embark on a weekend of sex, sun and surf. Through their adventures they soon realise that they are changing, questioning all that they once held dear. Surfing is Scollop's way of life and he is trying to adjust to the demands of adutlthood. Boo and Robbie are only interested in drinking and women, refusing to accept Sandy's decision to get married. Boo's womanising finally rebounds and the weekend ends in tragedy.
